It has been raining all day so that DIY project that needs to get done is on hold until I have a few hours of dry weather because it just will not work to do it inside! So I'll interrupt the scheduled post to bring you some fun and unusual gift ideas for the holidays.
This is the X-Mini II Capsule Speaker that plugs into your iPhone, laptop, or mp3 player to give you a big fantastic sound anywhere you go. It's available in several fun colors and about a third the size of your iPhone for only $20.28.
Here we have the WeMo Switch. All you do is plug it into any outlet of your home and then plug any device into the switch that you would like the ability to control from outside your home (lights, stereos, home appliances, etc). The WebMo switch lets you use your existing WiFi network to control what ever you plug into it. All you have to do is download the free app on to your iPhone and you're good to go. The switch is $49.99. I think I'll need to get one for myself so that I can turn my house lights on and off at random times when I'm on vacation!
The Eye-Fi Card works with your camera to store photos and videos just like a regular SDHC card. Plus, with built in WiFi, photos are instantly and safely sent to your computer, smart phone, or tablet. After the images are instantly transferred, card space in freed up automatically. the 4 GB card is $39.99 but it also comes in 8 and 16 GB sizes.
Last but not least, for those of us that like to disconnect from all the technology and head for the hills, there is finally a bottle that we can take for our beverage of choice (mine is water) that is glass. It's lightweight, doesn't leak, is covered in a silicon sleeve so that you can drop it and it won't break (if it does they'll gladly replace it for you). Your water tastes fresh and clean and most importantly is not poisoning you with bisphenols (BPA). It's called the bkr Bottle, it's a 16 oz bottle for $28 .and comes in 15 fabulous colors. A portion of their proceeds goes to the Obakki (who provide education and water to people in Africa) and Canary (early detection, identification, and treatment for cancer) Foundations. Have a great weekend...Lori
