Faux Bois, meaning "false wood" in french, has always had a place in my home or garden. Not surprising considering how much I love using branches in my work.
Faux faux boise would then refer to real wood that's pretending to be fake? Right!
After spotting this console (for thousands of dollars) that I thought was fantastic, I thought I'd try my hand at a little faux faux.
attached 2 picture frame hangers to the back edge of the pine plank,
placed the console top against the wall with the grape vine branch propped underneath in order to mark where the branches would attach to the console as well as mark where the picture frame hangers would hang on the molly bolts on the wall.
I screwed the molly bolts into the wall at their marked spots and screwed the 2 ends of the grapevine to the console top from underneath.
